These types of works are created using the same principle as one would use when creating a digital image, meme, or collage by simply adding a layer with words over an image found online. In this case, the found object is physical, the same as the hand-embroidered text that I add on the surface of found vintage tapestries, canvases, or stone bas-reliefs.
