Those born in perestroika and the early nineties played the same games on their PCs, chose the same role models from society and places to hang out in. This performance is part of the research on a "threatened species" — disappearing subcultures, popular in the school years of millennials in Russia.
«Gargoyle» is used as a slang for gopniks: suburban young men, who come from a working-class background, known for their notorious behavior, vicious hairstyle, obligatory sport suits and sitting in a hunched-over way, much like those stone gargoyles guarding gothic architecture.
