Performance, installation
The boy spins round and round on a carousel, peeing into a sandpit as he turns (mimicking the school boy prank of banana-down-pants). At once there is the baroque aesthetic of twee fountains and ourishing gardens, whilst also exhibiting typical attributes of post-Soviet urban spaces with its primitive carousels and wicked, mischievous school-boy behavior. The installation resembles a fragment of a typical post-Soviet yard complete with a sandpit and zhek art objects (usually handicrafts made by residents from painted tyres, beer cans and bottles, old toys and other rubbish designed as ower beds and sculptures).
